To ignite a movement towards better health for Black Americans through transformative health literacy programming
A world where Black Americans achieve optimal health through elevated health literacy
Health disparities have long impacted Black communities, resulting in a significant gap in health outcomes.
58% of Black Americans have basic or below basic health literacy which directly impacts health outcomes.
Addressing these issues requires a multifaceted approach that combines education, advocacy, and community engagement.
By focusing on health literacy, we aim to bridge this gap and foster a future where every Black person can thrive in good health.
Join us for Happy Hour Hikes, a wellness initiative by Black Health Lit that blends movement, community, and nature. These guided hikes offer a relaxed and welcoming environment to connect with others, prioritize mental and physical health, and explore local trails together.
Whether you're an experienced hiker or just getting started, Happy Hour Hikes are designed for all fitness levels. Each hike includes light refreshments, good vibes, and great conversation—all in support of Black health and wellness.
Come recharge, reconnect, and reclaim your health—one step at a time.
